This is why attending to class makes you an "A" student

Stating Facts (1)
1- Grading System:
In ACK and only ACK, Students deserve their A's as the faculty believes by attending
over 90% of their class's, when you read this at first the first thing will pop-up in your mind
is that "this blog owners are really lazy and don't want to attend class's" well too bad to
disappoint you but we are not, whats really happening is this:
One subject a day = 2 hours, each hour is a class, so if you missed this day then you have been absent for "2" class's!
and if you're absent for 2 days it means that you are absent for "4" class's and this also means you wont get an A grade because
you did not attend "3" class's or more which is really 1 day and a half, so the whole hard work you did the whole semester just vanished!
* For a whole semester even superman cannot attend 100% simply because it is almost 125 days and if you don't attend 1 and a half day then you lose your A!
2- Car Parking:
This is one of the major problems students face everyday, THERE IS NO ENOUGH CAR PARKING FOR STUDENTS!
some students get late for class's just because they're trying to find a place to park their car and in the end guess what ? they face problem number 1 , THEY ARE SET ABSENT JUST BECAUSE THEY DID NOT FIND A PLACE TO PARK!
who's problem is this ? the college or the student ? he comes early but a parking that was made only enough for 1,000 student is not enough for the whole 3,000 students !
why should students get marked absent because the College does not want to spend more money making a bigger parking slots ? why do the student lose his "A" grade for such a thing ?
3- Break Time!:
This semester students were shocked by the new break timing, its only 30 minutes,
lets be reasonable for a moment...
you get into a "2" hour class and then you get out for 30 minutes and then back again into another "2" hours class!?
besides that you don't have time to do anything, you cant go out to have a decent meal or even take a rest because there are a 1,000 other student racing to catch the tables or a long Queue in the cafeteria people are just waiting to order and get their food which also takes some time to get ready!
if you are feeling lucky today "like the Google search button" then you can hardly find a table and get your meal but also no enough time to eat!
4- Cafeteria:
Talking about the cafeteria, what my friend was told by one of the ACK employees is that this new cafeteria which was brought this semester "2008/2009" is paying a high rent to the college and instead the college is rubbing their backs by giving students such a short break so that you are forced to buy from that stinky cafeteria and making up its high rent!
well, we are already paying around 1,700 kd per semester isn't that enough ? they also try to force us to buy something we don't like just because they gave us such a short time! and let me explain it in an easier way :
* You finish your class and go out for your "30 minutes" break, if you plan to go anywhere even if it wasn't far away from college to have a meal you wont have enough time to go and buy and then come back
a) 5 minutes estimated time to go to the nearest fast food restaurant and another 5 minutes to come back to college makes it 10 minutes.
b) ordering your meal and receiving it will take around another 10 minutes which leaves you with the last 10 minutes of your break.
c) eating your meal will take you almost 10 minutes if you started eating like a cave man!
d) time is up now and you're back into the college but you will face problem number 2 which is finding a valid parking!
and thats only if going and coming back is going to take you 10 minutes, and if you ordered + received your meal in 10 minutes, and ate it in 10 minutes!
WE ARE NOT ROBOTS!
and by the way, the cafeteria doesn't provide a good decent meal anyways... and its hell expensive i can get 2 good meals from McDonald's in the price of 1 rotten meal from that cafeteria!

A Decent place to eat.
A parking for my car so i can attend my class's at time and not having to come 1 hour earlier to spend it searching for one.
A bigger break time to give me options to choose where i would like to eat or rest.
A fair grading system that grades my work not the "3 class's absence takes away your A".
Is that too much to ask for ?
Is that too much for someone who pays almost 1,700 kd per semester ?
I am sure its not, and many students will agree with me...

First things FIRST!
What is Ack?
Ack is the Australian College of Kuwait
What is the purpose of this blog?
They are too many to list, but we will take the short way:
1- For the students to express themselves
2- For the students to feel free to talk about their problems with the ACK because somehow you cant talk to anyone in the college! everybody ignores the students, something like
Student: Hi, i have a problem
Ack: Wow, LIVE WITH IT!
3- For other people who are not ACK students to get a closer idea about whats really going on in the ACK.
4- Trying to solve the problems in public rather than STAYING QUIET and afraid of FAILING because you have a problem and talked about it!
Why is it a blog ? Why don't you talk to them in person and straighten things out?
Over 70 students tried that but all they got was nothing, as simple as this "no one listens".
