Hello all, hope you enjoyed your holiday and ready for a new semester with new surprises "Tom and Jerry style"

Bad news is that the new semester had new policies with it when they are not really new but they just brought back the old policies that they changed last semester and the semester before!

ACK changes a policy because they think it's not helping and then they bring it back again !?
ACK is it really the students you think about or just enjoying giving us a hard time?

1. GUESS WHAT STUDENTS, THE OLD GRADING SYSTEM IS BACK.
2. ANOTHER GRADUATION CEREMONY THAT'S GOING TO TAKE THE PARKING.
3. NO PROPER SOLUTION FOR THE LACK OF PARKING SLOTS.
4. THE SAME EXPENSIVE CAFETERIA WITH THE SAME CHEAP FOOD
5. "Bringing second cup cafe does not make things better, you just forced us on another option of your choice"
6. THE SAME SHORT BREAK TO FORCE YOU TO BUY FROM THEIR CONTRACTED CAFE'S

How is that for a fresh beginning in this semester?

We have no rights to publish the student's name/email unless she agree's
until then we hope that the ACK would consider the students points of view in a serious way because the students are the REAL RESOURCE so if you keep ignoring the students they will simply run away as you can see...

We also know that ACK already knows about the blog and they are angry because students are asking for their rights but in the end you have to face it.

Why don't we have any indoor sporthalls? We played a basketball match against GUST a couple of days ago even without official clothing (we played with those colored training dresses) and it was a real shame... They had an indoor sporthall and official clothing and everything... WE DONT EVEN HAVE A REAL NET FOR OUR BASKET!

Besides, our volleyball team is playing on GRASS, and they're playing outdoors! How in the world are they going to be able to practice with all these winds and the cold weather...

This was what we got from a student that care's about the ACK reputation and how silly they will look in front of other colleges with random training clothes in an official sports match
also without having a real place to get training ... no wonder we have lost many matches in different sports... not even one good thing to motivate except grass and our nice weather

هو مجلس طلابي مكون من عدد من الطلاب يتم ترشيحهم (من قبل الطلبة) ويتم التصويت لهم (من قبل الطلبة ايضا) في انتخابات عامه لجميع الطلاب بدون استثناء كل عام دراسي جديد , ويتم اختيار اعضاء جدد او بقاء الاعضاء في المجلس نسبة الى ادائهم لمصلحة الطلبة جميعا.

اهداف المجلس :
1) احترام شخصية الطلاب والاخذ بآرائهم ومقترحاتهم على محمل الجد وعدم التهاون في مشاكل وهموم الطلبه.
2) تشجيع الادارة للطلبة للمشاركة والحوار الهادف لمصلحة الطلبة.
3) تحمل المسؤولية والالتزام بجميع الطلاب.
4) خلق روح التعاون مابين الادارة والطلبة.

you MAYBE EXCLUDED FROM PARKING ON THE ACK CAMPUS IN FUTURE

Instead of fixing the problem THEY THREAT!

What rights do you have that makes you "THINK" that you can actually (EXCLUDE A STUDENT FROM PARKING ON THE ACK CAMPUS) ?

There is no enough parking!
Students have said this times and times.

PLEASE ACK STAFF try to be reasonable for only one time i know its hard for the ACK to be reasonable i know how tough it is to TRY TO THINK but come on!

Do you really think that a student would like to park over sidewalks everyday ? don't you know that it harms the car ? instead of telling the student "thanks for hurting your car and not asking us for extra parking slots" you go and threat them ?

IS THIS HOW YOU THANK STUDENTS FOR NOT ASKING FOR THEIR RIGHTS ? BY THREATENING ?

And i know the silly answer that every ACK staff keeps on saying "Sorry, but you parked in an illegal place" WHAT! THATS NOT A REAL ANSWER!!!!!!

I will reply back to that SILLY answer with something simple "Fine, FIND ME AN EMPTY LEGAL PLACE TO PARK IN"

A Parking for 1,000 Students Is Not Enough For 3,525 STUDENT!! THERE ARE 2.525 OTHER STUDENTS THAT ARE PARKING OVER SIDEWALKS AND OUT OF THE CAMPUS ALREADY AND SOME OF THEM SIMPLY FINDS SOMEONE TO DROP THEM JUST BECAUSE YOUR "CAMPUS THAT YOU WANT TO PUNISH PEOPLE BY KICKING THEM OUT OF IT" IS NOT BIG ENOUGH !!!!

Good news "ela rube3"

I have been told by a friend of mine that the "ACK Grading system" is going to get improved and there are some updates regarding their "Grading system" which is a positive step from the ACK

The changes are "as i remember from what he said"
1- Any student that attends over 80% of class's will get a 5% increase in his final mark which is a good thing to motivate students to attend instead of cutting of marks, but if you attend less than 80% you don't gain anything except missing your lessons which is also bad.
2- The "90% and over to get an A" has been changed to its original percentage which is "85%" which is also a positive move from them.


The previous information was from a friend who said that his instructor told him this, nothing official yet from the ACK and no emails from any ACK staff has been sent regarding this.

This post will be updated with any new information and hoping to get an official email or announcement from the ACK really soon.

Thanks for the one who commented about the bug he found, the blog can be viewed through the college pc's by adding "www."

Appeal system

Just wondering...

Why should students pay money to have an appeal?

How can the student be sure that his appeal was rejected or ignored ? or maybe simply dumped after taking his money ?

Why should i pay to get my right marks ? didn't i pay already in the beginning of the semester ?

What is this money exactly for ? is it for giving me attention and wasting your precious time remarking my work ? although instructors are paid to do that whether i appealed "payed" or no
